The cases
The case simulations are concentrated in five areas, representing central issues within the education and to areas where important discussions on differential diagnosis could be held. The areas are Internal medicine, Infectious diseases, Surgery, Dentistry and ear, nose and throat (ENT) diseases.

Internal medicine
Four cases, all with the symptom of chest-pain will be developed.

Infectious diseases
Here, about ten special cases will be produced, all aimed towards the ISP-VL project together with Stanford school of Medicine. Cases will be produced at both KI and at Stanford. One out of several important aspects is to see if there are some possible differences in what teachers and students think are important aspects of patient examination and medical diagnosis between Sweden (KI, UU) and Stanford.

Three to four cases will also be developed here, all of which will deal with the problem of bleeding from the intestinal tract.

Here, a number of different cases with diffuse pain symptoms or other complex syndromes will be produced.

Dizziness is a common symptom for these planned cases.
